Colfosco, near Corvara; admire the Sella and Sassongher mountains

Colfosco, protected by the imposing Sella and Sassongher mountain massifs, is located on the southern part of the Puez-Odle Nature Park. The village is the highest inhabited centre in Alta Badia located at an altitude of 1,645 m, and it is part of the community of Corvara.

Characteristic for this village is the picturesque gothic church dating back to 1420, one of the most renowned destinations for photographers.

The climate in spring and summer is mild and sunny. This is only one of the reasons why Colfosco is one of the most renowned tourist destinations in the entire valley. Despite the villages growing popularity, Colfosco has preserved its alpine structure and has reduced environmental impacts to the minimum necessary for a touristic centre.

Colfosco is part of the Dolomiti Superski Ski Carousel, which unites 460 lifts and 1,200 km of slopes, accessible with the use of only one unique ski pass. The village is immersed in fascinating and unique panorama, where contact with nature and the fresh air provide the sensation of complete freedom.
